Although GPRS/EDGE/UMTS modems are not recommended to be used for mission critical applications, these wireless modems and routers have their place in wireless data networks.
MG100i is suitable for hybrid networks in combination with PROFI radio modems, because this wireless modem is based on the same computer part, i.e. the same configuration and management tools can be used. Combination of GPRS/EDGE/UMTS and radio is one of the biggest advantages of MORSE system.
MG101 and MG102 are wireless routers supposed to be used in independent GPRS/EDGE/UMTS networks. These wireless routers have all common IP features like: OpenVPN, IPsec, PPTP, CSD Dial-in, DHCP, DNS, SSH, SNMP, NTP etc.
