August was another eventful month at RACOM. We welcomed the President of the Czech Republic, are putting the finishing touches to the RACOM Partner Conference, and are tackling the impact of the current electronic component supply crisis.

In August, Petr Pavel, President of the Czech Republic, visited RACOM together with his wife. After an extensive tour of the company, the The President highlighted how hard work and enthusiasm had helped build RACOM from the ground up into a global leader in its field. He also stressed the importance of in-house development and manufacturing in the Czech Republic as a foundation for technological self-sufficiency and independence – increasingly important for critical infrastructure and defence.

Another confirmed speaker at the RACOM Partner Conference is Dr. Frank Stummer, co-founder of the German company Rhebo and an expert in cybersecurity and digital forensic analysis of cyber incidents in critical infrastructure networks. Artificial intelligence brings many benefits to RACOM, but its rapid development also has a downside – it is driving a sharp increase in demand for electronic components. Memory chips in particular are in short supply, with prices rising and lead times getting longer. Thanks to our experience, forward purchasing and high inventory levels, we have the situation under control and our production is running as usual.
