May on the Move

Visiting customers is the key to continuous improvement. Personal contact brings not only valuable feedback but also inspiration for new product ideas. And May was packed with opportunities. RACOM took part in three major exhibitions and conferences, conducted training sessions at home and abroad, and strengthened its presence in several key markets.

SENDI

SENDI is the largest power distribution trade fair in Latin America. Our local partner Utili represented us at the event in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Lorena, a member of our technical support team living in Brazil, was also present at the UTILI booth. The Brazilian market is strategic for us – hundreds of our radio modems ensure reliable communication across power distribution networks. Lorena made the most of the opportunity, reconnecting with existing customers and meeting new prospects.

Futuretec

For the seventh time, RACOM participated in Futuretec, a leading tech conference for Czech ISPs and Telco professionals, organized by our partner Vanco. Visitors to our booth explored not only our microwave links, widely deployed in their networks, but also our radio modems and cellular routers. Our talk “How a Microwave Link Is Born”, complete with an interactive quiz, drew particular attention.

Radioelektronika

Radioelektronika is the largest international conference in the Czech Republic focused on electronics, signal processing, applications, IT, and microwave technology – making it a must-attend event for RACOM. Due to the highly technical nature of the program and its expert audience, we sent our technical director, Marek Bobula, along with his colleague Radim. They both appreciated the high-level technical discussions rarely found elsewhere.

Training in France and Belgium

Tomáš from our technical support team visited France and Belgium to deliver hands-on training alongside with Vincent, our sales manager based in France. During a session for a local electricity distributor, currently modernizing its legacy radio network and planning new expansions, the network design was reviewed in detail. As their SCADA system uses the IEC104 protocol, they welcomed RACOM’s BDP solution tailored for this scenario. Despite the area’s challenging terrain, the network design with careful planning is feasible.
