Radio modem RipEX2e
We are pleased to announce the launch of the RipEX2e radio modem, the essential version of our flagship RipEX2, which has been on the market since 2018. Its deployment is expected in less demanding installations that do not utilize all the features of RipEX2.
RipEX2 and RipEX2e are fully compatible and can be combined in one network. We continue to produce the first generation of RipEX, but it is expected that it will be used primarily to extend existing networks.
Microwave links - Now available
Take advantage of this unique opportunity and install ‘tomorrow’ gigabit link on unlicensed bands. For staying loyal to us even when we had longer delivery times we are now offering the RAy3-17 and RAy3-24 at discounted prices and short delivery times.

RAy in Manhattan
In most places in Manhattan, NY, it’s basically impossible to put fiber optic cables underground, so high-speed connectivity is mostly handled wirelessly via microwave links. This leads to extreme utilization of the radio spectrum and enormous interference especially in unlicensed bands such as 24 GHz.
We are honored that RACOM microwave links are making their way here in competition with all the world’s manufacturers. RAy3-24 have found their place here mainly because of their reliability and resistance to interference.
Firmware update RipEX2 and M!DGE3
New firmware version 2.0.16.0 for RipEX2 and M!DGE3 has been released. The most interesting new features is full support of GPS (GNSS) mPCIe expansion module. Using this module, it is now possible to synchronize the internal clock and provide unit location information (NMEA, JSON).
In addition, the next Sleep mode functionality has been added and Sleep mode can now be controlled via hardware Sleep Input. Please refer to the RipEX2 and M!DGE3 release notes for details.
RACOM at IWCE
RACOM will participate in the IWCE, International Wireless Communications Expo, which will be held March 27-30, 2023 in Las Vegas.
Since 1977, IWCE has been an annual event that brings together experts in critical communications technologies from around the world. Find us at booth #2514, where our Radio modems, Cellular routers and Microwave links will be showcased by our partner Cable AML, which has represented RACOM in the US since 2018.
