Opening our doors to those who matter most
At the end of March, we welcomed the families and friends of our employees to both of our RACOM facilities in Nové Město na Moravě.
We opened our doors to children, partners, parents (often even grandparents) who came to see where their loved ones work and what exactly they do. And this was no ordinary tour.

Each visitor received a map guiding them through 25 stations spread across the company. At every stop, they learned something interesting about the specific tasks and technologies used daily at RACOM. There was even a fun quiz – correct answers revealed a hidden message that led to a sweet reward at the finish line.

We didn’t just show off our usual workspaces and secret corners, but most importantly we gave everyone a chance to try things hands-on.

Children (and often their parents) tried out:

  • screwing components together
  • soldering
  • assembling boxes
  • stamping
  • mounting units on poles
  • became «packets» running through a network
  • and even experienced firsthand the freezing temperatures our equipment has to withstand in the climatic chamber

The experience was so intense that some of the youngest guests fell asleep before reaching the final stop 🙂

Sweet treats and souvenirs
We wrapped up the day with some homemade refreshments, lovingly baked by our talented colleagues.
The biggest hit? Gingerbread bats – all 250 pieces were gone in a flash!

Kids took home not only a bunch of memories, but also souvenirs made right before their eyes:

  • whistles printed on a 3D printer
  • keychains engraved with their names by a CNC machine
  • and, of course, the bat that guided them along the entire route

Sharing pride in our work
A huge thanks goes to all our colleagues who helped with smiles on their faces – holding screwdrivers, adjusting microscopes, helping to fold origami bats, answering countless questions and most importantly, proudly showcasing what we create at RACOM every day.

It was a wonderful reminder that the work we do really matters. And even more beautiful was seeing how excited we were to share it with those closest to us.

Big thanks to our HR colleagues for the fantastic organization and together with the 80 children who joined the event, we’re already looking forward to what they come up with next!

Our colleagues Petr Šefara and Adam Svoboda visited the Technical High School in Žďár nad Sázavou to give final-year students of electrical engineering and IT a firsthand insight into the world of RACOM.

They didn’t just introduce the company – they also offered students a behind-the-scenes look at our production engineering department. A key focus was on the modern trend of data analysis using AI, a topic that Petr actively works on. Our extensive database of product information provides a unique opportunity for this – we store over 20,000 rows of data for each RipEX radio modem!

We hope we didn’t just inspire the students, but also encouraged them to continue their studies in electrical engineering and radio communication. Who knows – some of them might become our future colleagues!

Collaborating with local schools is one way we aim to retain young talent in our region. We want to show students that meaningful careers in modern technology are not limited to big cities. While RACOM products are used in over 130 countries worldwide, our roots remain firmly in Vysočina – and we are committed to making it a great place to both live and work.

UTCAL Summit 2025

April 8-11, 2025 | Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Will you be attending UTCAL in Rio de Janeiro?

Stop by our booth and discover RACOM’s cutting-edge radio modems and mobile routers, designed for mission-critical infrastructure communications.
We’re also showcasing our devices for private LTE networks.

David, Sales Director from our HQ in Czechia, and Lorena, Technical Support and Sales Manager based in Brazil, are excited to meet you and discuss how RACOM can support your connectivity needs.

See you in Rio!

Marek Bobula (Technical Director) and Vít Koutenský (Executive Director) represented RACOM as part of the Czech delegation at DefenceTech 2025, which took place on February 18–19 in Kyiv, Ukraine. The event was organized by the Ukrainian government platform Brave1 with the support of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.

RACOM has been supplying its products to Ukraine since 2005, and deliveries have continued even after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Our Radio modems and Cellular routers are primarily used to ensure communication for the control systems of the power distribution network.

Our products are designed to enhance security in many aspects. In addition to ensuring the smooth operation of critical infrastructure, they also support the control of unmanned vehicles, which are used for measuring chemical contamination, explosive ordnance disposal, and other specialized tasks.

During the two-day event, our representatives held numerous individual meetings, not only with Ukrainian partners but also with other members of the Czech delegation representing companies in the defense sector.

For security reasons, Vít and Marek traveled by train, with the journey taking more than 42 hours. Due to frequent air raid alerts, they spent over 20 hours in shelters, both during the day and at night. Thanks to strict adherence to safety protocols and excelent information support from the Czech embassy, they returned home safely.

Our participation in the conference reaffirmed that our commitment to making the world a safer place through RACOM’s products is not just an aspirational goal, but a real and essential necessity.

We firmly believe that the war in Ukraine will soon come to an end and that our products will contribute to the post-war reconstruction of the country.

Honoring Our Long-Standing Team Members
Loyalty runs deep at RACOM. This year, seven employees celebrated 30 years with the company and three marked 25 years. Their dedication is a testament to our strong company culture.

A New Chapter for Our Founders
In 2024 our founders confidently handed over leadership to a new management team. With the team performing very well, the founders now have more time to focus on their hobbies.

Looking Ahead to 2025
The outlook for 2025 is promising. Here’s to another year of success, innovation, and teamwork!

RACOM is excited to announce the expansion of our technical support team, driven by the growing demand for our products and services, especially following major wins and new customers in the UK market.

RACOM always wants to be as close as possible to its customers, and that is why the new member of the team is Fred Heath from England, an expert with many years of experience in the field of radio modems and microwave technology. Fred spent 14 years at 4RF where he focused on VHF/UHF narrowband radio modems and later on cellular routers. Prior to that he gained extensive microwave radio knowledge initially working as a microwave installation and commissioning engineer, project manager and then for several microwave radio manufactures (Ceragon, Dragonwave…) in pre and post sales technical support roles.

Fred’s training at our headquarters was seamless, as his deep technical knowledge enabled him to quickly grasp the advanced features of our RipEX radio modems, M!DGE cellular routers, and RAy microwave links. He is now fully equipped to provide a full range of technical support to our customers.

Fred’s expertise enhances our team’s know-how and strengthens our ability to provide exceptional support to our global customer base.

We’re thrilled to have Fred on board and look forward to his contributions to RACOM’s projects and customer satisfaction!

The bat in our logo is no coincidence. Like our devices, bat transmits signals to orient itself in space through their reflection. The bat symbol has once again inspired us to use it on this year’s New Year’s card.

For the images of bats we approached children from a small school in Slavkovice, a village near RACOM’s headquarters. With only 30 pupils aged 6 – 10, the school is unique, combining two grades into shared classrooms (1st & 3rd, 2nd & 4th).

The kids outdid themselves, producing 22 stunning bat illustrations! While we could only use some on our New Year’s card, we made a special collage with all their bats, now proudly displayed in our meeting room. Next time you visit us, we’d love to show it to you.

As a thank-you, we gifted the school a new game for their after-school program and donated 5,000 CZK per drawing to local charities – a total of 110,000 CZK! Our Executive Director, Vít Koutenský, personally delivered the gifts. The children enjoyed the visit very much and we hope that one day some of them will join our team.

From all of us at RACOM and the children of Slavkovice, we wish you a successful and joyful year 2025!

We value personal connections with our customers, which remain essential even in today’s digital world. That’s why we traveled extensively in October to participate in several events:

ICEC, Egypt

cairo1

RipEX Radio modems and M!DGE Cellular routers are widely used in the Middle East. After winning several tenders in Egypt for communication in power distribution networks in 2023, we joined the Intelligent Cities Exhibition and Conference in Cairo. At the booth of our partner Xceltra we were represented by David Marek, Sales Director and Muhammad Syed, Sales Manager for the Middle East. David also delivered the presentationNext Generation IP Radio Modems” at the conference. Alongside meetings with current clients, we launched several new projects across Egypt and other countries in the MENA region.

INTERSEC, Saudi Arabia

INTERSEC1

In addition to RipEX Radio modems and M!DGE Cellular routers, our RAy Microwave links are also gaining momentum in Saudi Arabia and other Middle Eastern countries. At INTERSEC in Riyadh, we showcased RAy links with our partner Xtream from Dubai. There was considerable interest in RAy, despite the licensing requirements in Saudi Arabia for all frequencies, including 80 GHz. We expect further growth in KSA in addition to UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Lebanon and Iraq.

SNIR, France

snir1

SNIR is an organization of companies that install, integrate and provide professional radio communication solutions. SNIR represents them towards public authorities, including radio spectrum regulator. Our French partner EBDS represented us at SNIR’s annual meeting and showcased our RipEX Radio modems and M!DGE Cellular routers at its booth. The presentation was met with great interest. The event generated great interest, and we connected with several new, highly qualified partners for integration and installation in France.

Advantec, Italy

advantec1

Advantec, our long-term partner in Italy, annually organizes a customer meeting. This year it took place in the beautiful surroundings of Lake Maggiore in Baveno. This event allows Advantec’s partner manufacturers to showcase their products and the opportunity to personally meet Advantec’s customers. We were represented at the event by Pavel Nešpor, Sales Manager responsible for Italy and David Marek, Sales Director. They had a number of meetings with existing and potential customers and we believe that more will soon be added to the thousand or so radio modems running in Italy.

VAE Controls, Czechia

vae1

VAE Controls is one of the most used suppliers of SCADA systems for the water industry in the Czechia. Many of our MR25 and MR400 Radio modems are still working without any problems for over 30 years in their systems. However, they are now morally and especially security-wise obsolete and will be replaced by the latest RipEX2 and M!DGE3. We welcomed the opportunity to join a VAE Controls customer meeting and training session attended by more than 15 water companies from the Czechia. Our migration solution, which allows a gradual and trouble-free replacement of the existing radio network regardless of the technology used, received a very positive response. Participants also appreciated the opportunity to discuss with colleagues who have already implemented our migration in practice.

Each of these events reinforces our commitment to supporting and expanding our customer relationships worldwide.
