RACOM is pleased to announce that the RipEX success story with Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE) in Mexico continues.
RACOM together with Solstand, its long-term partner in Mexico has already delivered 800 RipEX units in 2019 and won the latest tender for delivery of the next 1100 units in September.
The total number of RipEX units in CFE will be 6000 units.
Having commenced this project in 2012, this confirms in practise that RACOM is really expert in future-proof design. We are confident the new RipEX generation will be successful as well.
RACOM is pleased to announce the release of a new model of RAy3 microwave link. The new 17 GHz model shares the same parameters as existing RAy3 24 GHz.
Thanks to its exceptional resistance to interference, RAy3 provides the most stable links even on busy sites. A Full Outdoor Radio, it is ideal where high performance links with maximum reliability are required. Designed with attention to detail and implementing all relevant state-of-the-art concepts, this high quality microwave link provides excellent performance characteristics.
RAy3 sets new standards and provides significant improvements in data speed and security features. 713 Mbps FDD data speed in symmetric duplex in 200 MHz channel is available in 17 GHz band. Using RAy’s option of asymmetric channels, the user can maximise spectrum availability making RAy3 a leading choice for license free bands.

When we released the latest models of our flagship products, we accompanied the launch with a set of new product videos. These videos have now been enhanced with voice over commentary, highlighting key features of the products.
To complement these videos, we have also produced a set of Product Overviews leaflets that describe the products using non-technical language and list customer benefits that each product offers. These are available for download from the product pages and also the download section of each product on the website.

RAy3-24 gets North American green light
RACOM has received certifications for RAy3-24 from FCC (USA) and IC (ISED Canada) allowing us to commence sales of our latest Microwave radio into these important markets.
RAy3-24 – the 3rd generation Microwave link is built on the strengths of its predecessor. Since 24 GHz license free band is narrower in the US (200 MHz), RAy can provide 713 Mbps FDD data speed in symmetric duplex compared to 1 Gbps in Europe (250 MHz). When asymmetric channels are used, 1 Gbps can be achieved in one direction and 540 Mbps in the opposite direction. This makes RAy the top equipment for license free bands.
Spectrum efficiency, excellent reliability and ease of installation and configuration are among other features that help provide the highest throughput in any environment and add to the success of this radio since its launch in 2018.
To support product roll out in North America, RACOM will be ably supported by our partners in the region.

In early March 2019, RACOM supported Mikrotik’s flagship European Meeting by taking an exhibitors booth in Vienna. The event provided an ideal opportunity to introduce our new 24 GHz 1Gbps FDD RAy3 Microwave link and get general feedback for the first time, from those who are already using the new product.
Visitors to the event came from all over Europe, providing broad ranging and well balanced views about every aspect of our products based on different ITU requirements in different countries. All of these comments are welcomed by our Product Management team who need this input to help influence decisions for future developments.
With higher data and modulation speeds combined with the Asymmetric channel capability and other market leading features, many visitors noted that RAy3 offered very good value for money based on a price/capacity/quality ratio. We even received comments that our RAy3 radio is the top equipment for license free bands.
